Garage Project – White Trash. This is a bit more of an amped up wheat beer than usual re:The last few I have had. Its nice, in an awesome can, in a can as well so…cans rock. Has that almost peppery thing wheat beers do, light but good mouthfeel. Some kind of colab with some clothing/design label. Great label/can print.

Brains – SA Smooth. A nice easy bitter beer. Its definitely smooth, not much else to say. An easy sessional beer.

St Bernardus – Pater 6 and Tripel Abbey Ale . Both great and reviewed probably a few times elsewhere on here.

Beer – 6/5/16 https://beers.crunky.website/beer/beer-6516/ Fri, 06 May 2016 10:45:15 +0000 http://dude.okdude.net/?p=673 Continue reading "Beer – 6/5/16"]]> 13150093_10154167740017250_1698034554_n

Cabbages & Kings, Imperial Oyster and Horopito Stout. 12% 650ml.

This is intense, the alcohol is very apparent, the mouthfeel is viscous and rich, the taste is intense dark malt, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke, peppery – Horopito is a native NZ pepper plant -, a little briny.

A review I made later in the night:

It was very damn good, a sipper, very intense, viscous, rich, peppery, a bit smokey and briny. I drank it over about 2 and a bit hours. 650ml. Only thing similar I have had has been barleywines. This was also about a year old – June 2015 i think was the last batch made – so had aged a bit and rounded out, which is a good thing, even preferable, for any dark strong style beer, which are, obviously, more malt forward.
